Fairly efficient train connection into Amsterdam. Very spacious, but cozily decorated and has everything you need. With the train station being in walking distance, it is the perfect location to start day trips from, e. Vera is super fast in responding and providing information and checking-in and out was very easy. I would definitely come back and can strongly recommend this place. Top of the class hospitality and a great place to stay! Vera is an amazing host! She made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay.

Close to public transport to central Amsterdam and cafe right at the bottom of the apartment for daily hunger needs. I will always get this Place when I visit Amsterdam. When we visit Amsterdam again we will definitely stay here. Vera was super helpful and quick to respond. You can see she takes a pride in her accommodation and it really is a lovely apartment. The lady who owns it is very entertaining too! We really enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend this place and Vera and her mum and sister enough. Jose was super thoughtful - picked us up from the station and then dropped us back, greeting us each morning with a basket of lovely fresh breakfast treats, helping us with details about what to do in the area. The boat was very cosy, given that it was not quite the warm spring weather we had been hoping for.
Loved looking out at passing boats etc. Zaanse Schans open museum is a wonderful place to wander around and having the use of bikes made it so easy to get to - even better that you look out your boat window at a windmill. Can recommend the brewery across the bridge for a meal and relaxing drink.

The barge is very spacious and comfortable. It has a well equipped kitchen and generous bathrooms. The bed was comfortable. The setting on the water is very nice, but we stayed in the winter so couldn't take full advantage.
Wifi access is good and Peter and Jose are charming hosts. It is close to an outdoor museum but some distance from Amsterdam centre. Jose has some bicycles for guests to use and is a good source of local information and is very kind to guests.

It's around 20minutes by walk and 10minutes by car from the nearest train station. Het was heel aangenaam toekomen bij Tuk, parking voor de deur, de lichtjes brandeneen zalige warmte kwam ons tegemoet, overal kleine attenties, vers fruit en alvast wat in de koelkast, echt thuiskomen! Een beetje later kwam Tuk zelf nog even checken of alles naar wens was, een heel vriendelijke man, leuk gesprek! Hebben een zalig verblijf gehad, om zo opnieuw te doen!
An absolutely lovely cottage that is perfect for people. Diversely and satisfyingly decorated with multiple excellent living spaces makes the stay a real treat. Tuk was an incredible host who was always offering help even when it was impractical for him. He even picked us up from the station by car when we arrived and dropped us there by boat on our departure!
A charming journey into Amsterdam takes about 30 minutes cycling and getting a train. Much faster with a bicycle to the station, though the walk is very doable. Quite nice to be able to see a bit of the area outside of the city of Amsterdam and the train from Wormerveer goes straight to Rotterdam through Amsterdam so it is quite convenient.
I would very much recommend staying here. Cottage was as advertised, felt like home from the get go, piece of heaven with splendid outdoor possibilities near by.

They check up on us if we need assistance or anything, and helped me contact lost and found and the police to attempt to find my lost backpack.
Overall, if you want an adventurous trip. I would highly recommend Tuk's cottage. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and definitely quirky. Close to the city to see the highlights of Amsterdam but in a lovely, serene rural setting by the lake.

Als een gaaf hoogtepunt mochten wij met Jose en Peter nog op een bootstocht mee. Varen op de Zaan bij een rivier-feest, wat een belevenis!
